I loved it! The story of a botched kidnap draws together the protagonists, and the recurring dream sequences for each of the main characters draw the reader further into this gripping story.
Mr. Baker has done well with this, his first novel, and I'd recommend it to anyone who's looking for an entertaining read, in a book with believable characters.

When I first started to read "Living The Dream" by Tim Baker, I wasn't sure if I was going to like it. I eventually found myself turning the pages furiously to see what was going to happen next and, by the end, felt that the book was well written, creative, showed lots of imagination and I would definitely recommend it.

The story starts off by focusing on (four) different characters and then slowly their lives start to intertwine and intersect. I truly enjoyed this aspect of the book and Baker did a great job of neatly tying everyone together.
Overall, “Living the Dream” is a humorous crime novel with a cast of very interesting characters. Baker does an excellent job with the character development and his descriptive writing allows the reader to vividly picture all of the scenes taking place. I look forward to reading more of Baker’s novels in the future!

The author has a good book here on his hands. I think all that read it will enjoy it and will find it surprising that they find themselves rooting for the “bad guy”. Tim has perfected making his characters so pathetic and unlucky that he has managed to make his readers sympathetic. That is quite rare to do, much less for a new author.
